KidsGallery Privacy Policy

Information we handle

• Photos. Photos you take with the camera or choose from your photo library, such as a photo of your child's artwork. To create a caption, the photo (resized to at most 512 px) and the language setting of the App are sent to our server.
• Results. The caption and preview image returned by the server. They stay in the App unless you save them to your photo library or share them.
• Usage and device data. App version, operating system, device model, events such as choosing a photo from the camera or the library, saving, sharing, listening to the caption read aloud and your choice in the tracking permission prompt, and crash and performance data.
• Advertising data. Advertising identifier, approximate location and ad interaction and diagnostic data handled by Google AdMob (see "Ads and tracking choices").
• Support information. What you send us by email or through the feedback form.
• On this website, we count clicks on the download buttons in a way that does not identify you (no cookies are used).

How we use it

• To create the AI caption for the photo you chose.
• To show ads that keep the App free.
• To understand how the App is used, fix crashes and improve quality.
• To prevent abuse and answer your inquiries.

Who receives information

Providers handle data under their own policies.

• Our server (Google Cloud) and AI providers. The server receives the photo and uses AI services from OpenAI and Replicate to create the caption.
• Google. Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics; AdMob for ads, including Google's consent message.
• Your device. The caption can be read aloud with your device's text-to-speech. If you allow notifications, the App schedules reminder notifications on your device.

Photos and artwork

Please send only photos you have the right to use. If a photo shows a person, get their permission first; for a child, a parent or guardian should decide. The App does not use photos to identify or authenticate anyone.

Ads and tracking choices

The App shows banner and full-screen ads from Google AdMob.

On iOS the App asks for permission under Apple's App Tracking Transparency; you can change it in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. Where required (for example in the EEA and UK), Google's consent message lets you choose. On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings > Google > Ads.

Retention and deletion

The App has no account. Data on your device stays until you delete the App or its data. The server processes the photo to return the caption; a copy of the photo and the result may be kept for quality review and troubleshooting. To ask us to delete a copy, email support@satoapps.com with the app version and the approximate date and time you used the App. AI providers and other providers keep their own records under their policies.

Children

KidsGallery is meant to be used by parents and guardians and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; if you believe a child has provided some, contact us and we will delete it.

Users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland

• Controller: Sato Apps (Japan), support@satoapps.com.
• Legal bases: providing the features you request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); analytics, crash diagnostics and security by legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)); advertising identifiers with your consent where the App asks for it (Art. 6(1)(a)).
• Transfers: data is processed in Japan, the United States and other countries by the providers named in this policy, under safeguards such as the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
• Retention: copies kept for review are kept as long as needed for quality and security review or until you ask us to delete them.
• Your rights: access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability and objection, by email; you may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app or the services it uses change. The updated policy applies from the date it is posted on this page.
